Our HDCAM Digital cassette tapes incorporate Sony's advanced metal tape technology for use in the world's first HDCAM format camcorder. The development of this high performance metal tape enabled high density recording with a wavelength of 0.49um achieving a recording length of up to 22 minutes for the small-size cassette tape, and 124 minutes for the large-size cassette tape. (In 60i mode - longer in 24P mode)
